The New Madrid County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in a shooting investigation.
Around 3:30am yesterday morning, New Madrid County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a shooting in Lilbourn on Weeks Street. Upon arrival, officers found the caller’s house had been struck by gunfire and a 12-year-old child inside the house was also struck. The child was transported by ambulance and is currently in stable condition.
A search of the immediate area has been conducted but investigators are seeking the public’s help.
