On Saturday, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash in Stoddard County, three miles west of Morehouse on US-60. The crash occurred at 4:50am as a 2018 Mercedes Benz GLC, driven by a 28 year old male from Nacogdoches, TX, struck the rear of a 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan, driven by a 50 year old male from Dexter. The 2018 Mercedes Benz then traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned, ejecting the driver and a 28 year old male passenger, also from Nacogdoches, TX.
The passenger sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Region One Medical Center in Memphis, TN. The driver of the Grand Caravan sustained minor injuries and was taken by private conveyance to Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, MO. The driver of the Mercedes was pronounced at the scene by Stoddard County Coroner Brent Stidham at 5:16am. This is Troop E fatality #15 for 2026.
