Scott County Sheriff Derick Wheetley announced on March 20, 2026, at around 7:00 PM deputies from Scott County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23 year old Austin J. Nance of Sikeston, Missouri, on Dolly Drive in Sikeston Missouri without incident.
Austin Nance is being held in connection to a shooting which took place March 19, 2026, in Scott County. When deputies arrived on scene they found an adult male victim who had been shot. He was transported to a local hospital where he died due to his injuries.
Austin Nance is charged with:
• Murder in the 1st Degree (Class A Felony)
• Armed Criminal Action
