On Friday, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to single-vehicle accident in Butler County, on Highway W, ten miles north of Poplar Bluff.
The crash occurred during a fire call at 3:48pm as a 2007 Sterling Acterra Fire Truck, driven by a 27 year old male firefighter from Poplar Bluff, ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned.
A 53 year old occupant received minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Unfortunately, the driver was pronounced at the scene by Butler County Coroner Jim Akers.
