On November 4, 2025, at approximately 4:00am Hayti officers responded to the 200 block of North Ash in reference to a past tense stolen vehicle. Hayti Officers spoke with the victim and obtained the vehicle information. The stolen vehicle was a white 2017 Nissan Frontier with Missouri registration.
While Hayti officers were investigating the stolen vehicle, it was brought to their attention that the suspect who had stolen the vehicle possibly had a female with him. The female was identified as Kaniah Jennings, an 18 year old black female of Portageville, who has been reported missing by the Portageville Police Department. She was last seen wearing a grey “2026” hoodie, black leggings and white Nike shoes.
At approximately 2:40pm, the Hayti Police Department was notified by the Poinsett County Sheriff’s Department in Arkansas that the vehicle had been located and they had a white male in custody. However, the female is still missing.
