On Thursday at 2:40pm, the MSHP worked a single vehicle accident in Wayne County, on Highway C, fifteen miles east of Wappapello. The crash occurred as a 2022 GMC Savannah van, driven by a 49 year male from Portageville, traveled off the left side of the roadway, striking a mailbox and a ditch. The driver suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
On Thursday at 4:10pm, the MSHP responded to a single vehicle accident in Pemiscot County, on Highway C, two miles south of Deering. The crash occurred as a 2016 Kia Soul, driven by a 34 year old male from Deering, ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned. The driver suffered moderate injuries and was transported via ambulance to Pemiscot Memorial Hospital.
