Malden, MO — On August 1, 2025, the Dunklin County Sheriff’s Department and the Malden Department of Public Safety, in coordination with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, successfully apprehended a wanted individual at a residence in Malden.
Authorities received credible information indicating that the suspect may have been in possession of a firearm. Out of an abundance of caution, a tactical team from the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Department was requested to assist with the operation. Upon arrival of the tactical team, the suspect exited the residence and was taken into custody without incident.
The Dunklin County Sheriff’s Department extends its sincere appreciation to all agencies involved, including the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the New Madrid County Sheriff’s Department, and the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Department, for their critical support in ensuring a safe and successful operation.
