The Dunklin County Sheriff’s Office has received multiple complaints of a scam attempt in the Malden area. According to a release, an individual posing as a DIRECTV or Dish Network employee is going door to door and claiming he can help lower your bill. The individual is reportedly working alone but may be using multiple vehicles and could possibly be working with others. The individual does NOT represent DIRECTV or Dish Network and you should not let this person in your home or give them any money or personal information. Report any suspicious activity immediately to the Dunklin County Communication Center at 573-888-2424 or 573-888-2409. Please stay alert and help protect the community by sharing this information.
