
On July 8, 2025, the Newbern Police Department received a report of a stolen vehicle from a local resident. The victim reported that a 2025 Buick Envista had been taken from her residence in addition to personal property. Through a coordinated investigation with the Caruthersville Police Department, investigators with the Newbern Police Department Criminal Investigations Division were able to identify multiple juveniles connected to the theft.
The juveniles are currently in the custody of the Pemiscot County Juvenile Office on charges related to this incident. Additional suspects have been identified, and further charges may be forthcoming as the investigation continues.

The safety of our community remains our top priority, and we will continue to pursue justice on behalf of the victim and the citizens of Newbern.”
