The American Red Cross has closed its shelter in Sikeston for those impacted by the May 16th tornadoes. After having the shelter open for a while with no population, Red Cross officials, in collaboration with community leaders, decided to close it since those in the community whose homes were affected by recent storms and tornadoes are indicating they have a place to stay.

Red Cross continues to collaborate with partners to assist those in the Sikeston area who were impacted by the recent storm damage.

It was one of 15 agencies providing information and resources at a Multi-Agency Resource Center in Sikeston.
