EF-2 Tornado Confirmed in Kennett

Survey teams have been assessing the damage from Friday night’s severe storms that produced a multitude of tornadoes. The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-3 tornado in Poplar Bluff and EF-2 tornadoes in Kennett, Corning, and Paragould.

In Missouri, the damage was “pretty substantial,” according to Kevin Deitch, Warning Coordination Meteorologist with the National Weather Service.

The EF 2 tornadoes packed winds from 120 to 125 mph. According to NWS, the path length for the Kennett storm was almost 20 miles and happened between 12:56 p.m. and 1:21 a.m.
