There was one traffic fatality in southeast Missouri over the long weekend. According to the MSHP, a five year old Doniphan boy died Saturday afternoon when the vehicle he was in ran off a Ripley County road, struck an embankment and overturned. The driver of the vehicle, 34 year old Bryan Childers of Doniphan was not hurt.
The accident happened just after 5 p.m.
