The Hornersville Watermelon Festival is around the corner. The event is Saturday, August 12 along Main Street. Festival Committee spokesperson Laura Ford says the parade will kick things off. Lineup for that is at 9 a.m.
The festival will last until about 3 p.m. There will be a large number of vendors, the car show is there again, and as always the Farmers and Merchants Club will have its biggest watermelon contest.
