The City of Kennett received good news. Its Insurance Services Office or ISO rating has improved to Class 4.
A fire department’s ISO rating is a determination by the Insurance Services Office of how well a department is able to serve the community. The assigned score is between 1 and 10, with lower numbers indicating a better score. High ISO scores can increase home insurance rates in the community.
The bottom line is communities whose rating improves may get lower insurance prices.
The rating goes into effect August 1.
