Florida man charged with attempted kidnapping in Clarkton

Charges of kidnapping-Facilitating Felony-Inflicting injury and Terrorizing 1st degree have been filed against Juan Germosen Nunez, from Arcadia, FL., after he attempted to abduct a small child in Clarkton last Thursday, September 21.

Clarkton police responded to a call around 6:50 p.m. from the Clarkton City Park on Main Street, where the incident occurred.  Witnesses told authorities that the suspect had fled.
Clarkton Police and a deputy from the Dunklin County Sheriff’s Office began searching the area last Thursday night, and received a call around 10 p.m. about a man fitting the description of the suspect walking on Main Street in Clarkton.
He was located and arrested without incident.  Clarkton Chief of Police David Dillard interviewed the suspect and placed him on a 24 hour hold while he came to Kennett Friday. morning to interview the young child.
The victim identified the suspect by picture and at that time charges were filed through the Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
