An autopsy was performed last night at 6:00 pm in Farmington, on the body of Matthew Schrimsher, 31 who was killed early Monday, July 31, morning at a home in Ripley County on Highway 160 west.
The shooter has been identified as Benjamin Ruhl, 36, of Doniphan. He is facing charges of first degree murder, first degree assault, two counts of armed criminal action and four counts of first degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Ruhl went on a rampage, pointing a gun at a teenage girl, chased Schrimsher his brother-in-law and some young children up a stairway at the home, where he fired through a door that hit Schrimsher.
The Missouri Highway Patrol is assisting in the investigation.
