One person died and four others were seriously hurt Friday night when a car ran a stop sign and struck a vehicle head on. According to Troop E, the accident happened in Sikeston. Killed was a passenger in the car struck head on — 22 year old Abigail Cohen of Sikeston. The driver, 24 year old Christopher Cohen was hurt.
The other driver, 46 year old Andrew Cooper of Sikeson was hurt as were two passengers, 21 year old Andrew Cooper II of New Madrid and 36 yearold Joshua Atchley of Sikeston.
All the injured were taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape.
The accident happened at 9:15 pm and this was the fifth fatality this year on Troop E roads and highways.
