You’ll notice additional Missouri state troopers on the road today and tomorrow, for Christmas Eve and Day traffic enforcement. Missouri State Highway Patrol Captain John Hotz says this year’s 30-hour counting period begins tonight at 6 and runs through 11:59 on Christmas night:
Troopers say 11 Missouri motorists died and another 421 suffered injuries during last year’s 108-hour Christmas counting period. Captain Hotz also encourages motorists who need assistance to dial star-55 on their cell phone.
