
The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to multiple serious accidents in Troop E on Sunday, including one fatal accident.
At 10:10am on Sunday, April 26th, the MSHP responded to a single vehicle accident in Madison County, ten miles west of Fredericktown on a private road. The crash occurred as a 2019 Polaris RZR170, driven by a 7 year old juvenile female from Barnhart, MO, ran off the left side of the road, went down an embankment and then into a private lake. The driver was transported by ambulance to Madison Medical Center, where she was later pronounced at 11:28am. This is Troop E fatality #13 for 2026.
The MSHP also responded to a single vehicle crash in Stoddard County, on MO-25, one mile south of Bernie. The crash occurred at 6:38pm as a 2009 Ford Edge, driven by a 35 year old male from Bernie, ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a residence. The driver sustained serious injuries and was air lifted to Region One Medical Center in Memphis.
