
On Wednesday, April 1st, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a serious accident in Cape Girardeau County, on private property on Old Sprigg Street, a half mile north of Cape Girardeau. The crash occurred at 2:43pm when a 2015 Ford Edge, driven by an 87 year old male from Sikeston, struck an 87 year old female pedestrian as she was exiting the vehicle. The female pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
On Thursday, April 2nd, the MSHP responded to a single vehicle accident resulting in serious injuries in Stoddard County. The crash occurred at 1:12pm on County Road 279, three miles east of Puxico, when a 1 year old juvenile female occupant fell out of the rear of a 2024 Can Am Defender, being operated at the time by a 28 year old female from Puxico. The one year old occupant received serious injuries and was air lifted to St Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
