The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control (DDCC) announces the arrest of Ean T. Wilson, 35, of Dexter, MO, for Promoting Child Pornography, Possession of Child Pornography, and Fail to Register as a Sex Offender. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Special Victims Unit (SVU). The Missouri Digital Forensic Center and Dexter Police Department assisted with the investigation.
In February 2026, SVU investigators received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reporting a file of child pornography had been uploaded to a Google account. After conducting an investigation, Wilson was identified as the suspect.
On March 25, 2026, investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in Stoddard County. SVU investigators located and interviewed Wilson, a convicted sex offender. Evidence of promoting and possession of child pornography was located on electronic devices. Investigators also found evidence indicating Wilson’s sex offender registration was not current. As a result, Wilson was arrested and transported to the Stoddard County Jail.
On March 26, 2026, the Stoddard County Prosecuting Attorney formally charged Wilson with Promoting and Possession of Child Pornography along with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. He is being held at the Stoddard County Jail without bond.
DDCC encourages internet users to promptly report to the Patrol or local law enforcement anyone who attempts to engage in unwanted, inappropriate, or sexualized communications with children.
