Man Arrested for Rape of A Child in Crockett County, TN

The Crockett County Sheriff’s Office announces the arrest of 19-year-old Jason Burns, who has been charged with rape of a child, classified as a Class A felony. This charge stems from allegations of unlawful sexual penetration of a victim between the ages of 8 and 13 years old.

The arrest followed an investigation led by the Criminal Investigation Division at the Crockett County Sheriff’s Office. Burns was apprehended in Newbern, Tennessee, by the Dyer County Sheriff’s Office deputies and investigators.
