On February 27th, 2026, at approximately 2:30am, Hayti Police Officers responded to a past tense domestic assault call in the 200 block of North 6th street. Upon arrival, Hayti Officers spoke with the victim and witnesses then arrested a 37 year old female from Hayti. She was processed and transported to the Pemiscot County Justice Center pending formal charges.
Later the same day, the Pemiscot County Prosecutors Office formally charged Mikessia N. Green of Hayti with Domestic Assault 2nd degree (Class D Felony), Attempted Assault – special victim (Class E Felony) and Resisting/Interfering with Arrest for a Felony (Class E Felony).
Green is currently being held without bond in the Pemiscot County Justice Center.
