The MSHP responded to a two vehicle accident on Tuesday afternoon in Cape Girardeau County on Highway AB in Troop E.
The crash occurred around 2:00pm, three miles east of Blowmeyer, when a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 34 year old male from Bloomfield, crossed the center of the roadway and struck a 2014 Nissan Maxima, driven by an 18 year old male from Advance. Both vehicles were heavily damaged and towed from the scene.
The 34 year old driver of the Silverado sustained moderate injuries, while the 18 year old driver of Maxima suffered serious injuries. Both drivers were transported by EMS to St. Francis Medical Center.
