Crystal Umfress, who owned a Columbia, Missouri returaunt was found not guilty of her second-degree arson charges in Butler County. Umfress was accused of hiring Kerry Raymond of Gideon to set fire to Lupita’s Mexican Restaurant on St. Francis street in Kennett in 2023.
Raymond’s trial is being held in Stoddard County.
Umfress is still facing two counts of filing false documents and three counts of forgery after she was accused of impersonating county officials and restaurant owners. A hearing is scheduled for February 17th in Butler County.
