Two Serious Crashes in Troop E on Friday, December 12th

The MSHP responded to two accidents on Friday, December 12th, that resulted in serious injuries.

On Friday, December 12th, at 7:00am, the MSHP responded to a two vehicle accident in Stoddard County on MO-51, four miles north of Puxico. The accident occurred as a 2016 Toyota Tacoma, driven by a 48 year old male from Anna, Il, and a 2015 Jeep Cherokee, driven by a 31 year old female from Puxico, struck each other head on. Two occupants in the Cherokee suffered minor injuries and were transported to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau via ambulance. The driver of the Cherokee suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Region One Health in Memphis.

On Friday, December 12th, at 9:50pm, the MSHP reponded to a single vehicle accident in Butler County, a half mile south of Poplar Bluff, on South Westwood at US 67. The accident occurred as a 1998 Chevrolet Camaro, driven by a 32 year old male from Poplar Bluff, ran off the left side of the roadway, overtuned and struck a pole. The driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center via MSHP. A 32 year old female occupant of the vehicle sustained serious injuries and was transported to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center via the Butler County EMS.
