The Dyersburg Police Department is investigating a Tuesday night shooting that left one man dead and another injured. DPD Criminal Investigation Division Lt. Mike Leggett reports on August 26th, 25 year old Nireonte Mayberry of Dyersburg was shot and killed. Twenty year old Jaylon Brown of Dyersburg suffered a gunshot wound and was airlifted to Regional One Trauma Center in Memphis.
According to the report, DPD officers were dispatched to AB’s Vape and Tobacco Shop at 305 S. Main St. just before 11 p.m. Officers arrived to find subjects inside, with Mayberry deceased. Brown was not on the scene but was located later while seeking medical attention.
