The MSHP reports a fatal crash in Butler County. The crash happened on Sunday, August 24th, around 5:55pm at the intersection of North Westwood Boulevard and Eugene Boulevard in Poplar Bluff. The incident occurred as a 2005 Honda Odyssey, driven by a 45 year old female from Poplar Bluff was headed southbound and pulled into the path of a 2003 Suzuki GSXR600 motorcycle, driven by a 20 year male from Poplar Bluff. The 20 year old driver of the Suzuki motorcycle suffered serious injuries and was air lifted to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. The driver was later pronounced at St. Francis Medical Center at 10:44pm. This is Troop E fatality #37 for 2025.
