MSHP Works Multiple Weekend Crashes

On Saturday, the Missouri State Highway Patrol worked a single vehicle accident in Wayne county that resulted in serious injuries for the driver. The crash occurred around 4:24pm at Route T, 1 mile east of Wappello, when a 2009 Harley Davidson driven by a 52 year-old man from Poplar Bluff was westbound, ran off the roadway and ejected the driver. The driver was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional.

Early yesterday at 3:45am, the Missouri State Highway Patrol worked a two vehicle crash near Hayti in Pemiscot County. The crash occurred as a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu driven by a 73 year-old Hayti man was traveling eastbound the wrong way on US 412 and struck a westbound 2014 BMW driven by a 33 year-old man from Caruthersville. The driver of the Malibu suffered minor injuries and was transported by EMS to West Tennessee Healthcare in Dyersburg. An occupant in the BMW also suffered minor injuries and was transported by EMS to Pemiscot Memorial in Hayti. None of the individuals involved in the crash were wearing their safety device.
