
One person was arrested yesterday after she led authorities on a high speed chase on Highway 25 that reached speeds of 115 MPH. According to the Dunklin County Sheriff’s Office, they were called around 1:30 p.m. to Highway 25 north of Kennett about a lawn mower that had fallen off a trailer, pulled by a truck driven in a careless manner.
During an attempted traffic stop the female driver pulled into Whitener’s Monument, stole a vehicle, and the high speed chase began that finally ended after the MSHP deployed stop sticks near Bernie.
The woman’s identity was not released yesterday. Further investigation revealed the truck, trailer, and mower were stolen out of Piggott.
