A Caruthersville man, arrested Friday after leading a police officer on a short foot pursuit after a traffic stop, waived formal arraignment yesterday and will be back in court Thursday. 18 year old Terrance Jackson is charged with resisting arrest and unlawful possession of an illegal weapon.
Court documents allege Jackson knowingly possessed a firearm modified with an automatic conversion switch converting it into a fully automatic machine gun. Police say he discarded the weapon during the chase.
Jackson is held without bond in the PCJC.
