
A Blytheville man was arrested and charged with first degree assault and first degree robbery in connection with an incident at Car-Macs on the south end of Pemiscot County. According to the Pemiscot County Sheriff’s Department, just before 2 a.m. yesterday, a man and woman entered the store to try to purchase alcohol. After being told it was too late, 36 year old Remington Tobar allegedly shot the clerk following an argument and stole some alcoholic drinks while leaving the store.
The victim was taken to a Memphis hospital and is in stable condition.
A no bond warrant was issued for Tobar, who was arrested without incident by the Blytheville PD around 4:30 p.m. yesterday.
