CAPE GIRARDEAU – An Illinois man was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Cape Girardeau to over seven years in prison who was caught in a stolen car with methamphetamine and marijuana in southeast Missouri.
Last August, 23 year old Darryl Duane Jackson of Cairo was stopped by a Charleston Police Department officer on Interstate 57. The vehicle’s license plate matched that of a stolen vehicle. Jackson had $1,670 in cash. He also had 78 grams of marijuana and 752 grams of meth in a backpack.
Jackson pleaded guilty in January to one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
