Hunter education is required in Missouri for anyone 16 or older who wants to participate in firearms hunting. MDC Agent Eric Huering says he gets questions about it all the time. Hunter education for those 16 and older can be online. For those 11 and up, there’s option two — the two step course.
There are three skills session opportunities in the Bootheel this month. The first is Friday from 6-10 p.m. at the New Madrid Police Department. Then there’s October 25 from 6-10 p.m. at the Pemiscot County Vocational Center and the 26th from from noon-3 p.m. at Holcomb High School.
You can register online at the MDC website.
