The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Wappapello Lake has announced the grand re-opening of Redman East Campground on Thursday. Renovations to the campground include a new shower facility, new utilities at each site, site expansion and leveling, wider roads, as well as an asphalt overlay throughout the campground.
Once re-opened, the campground will remain in operation until November 6, when it closes for the season.
A ribbon cutting is set for Thursday morning at 9 a.m. Afterward, the campground will open for drive-throughs for the public until noon.
