Every year on the last night of the rodeo, the Sikeston Jaycees promote a local cause. This year they are putting the spotlight on food insecurity. The Jaycees are partnering with Southeast Missouri Food Bank, and according Sara Garner, there’s not only the spotlight this brings, but also the opportunity to raise money to fight hunger.
Garner says they are calling this campaign – “Give Hunger the Boot.” The 72nd Annual Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo is August 7-10.
