Kennett High School has a new boy’s basketball coach and athletic director. During this week’s meeting the School Board employed Seth McBroom, who most recently coached at Twin Rivers, to both positions. McBroom replaces AD Jim Vaughan, who is retiring at the end of the year, and Fred Garmon, who decided not to return as head basketball coach next year.
Also during the meeting, Matthew Poole and Matt Shetley were sworn in for another three-year term on the Board. Shetley was elected Board president, Poole as vice-president, Jana Watson was employed as Board secretary, and Melanie Sweger was employed as Board treasurer.
