Pemiscot County Voters Decide Several School Board Races

There were primarily school board races decided yesterday in Pemiscot County. The two winners in North Pemiscot were Reginald Grant with 115 votes and Brett James with 80. Also getting votes was Danny Hensley II with 51.

In the Hayi School District, the winners were Frank Rose III with 183 votes and Christopher Wooten with 166. Cora Borders received 145 votes and Michael Richmond 89.

Kelly Wilkerson-Dullenty and Matt Hood were elected to the Delta C-7 School Board. Wilkerson-Dullenty received 89 votes and Hood 88. Derrick Dye received 58 votes.

In Caruthersville, the school board winners were Shea Clark with 579 votes and Joe Cagle with 458. Janelle Hagerman-Buttrom received 391 votes and Tracy Riney 373. School district voters approved Proposition K.I.D.S. 747-343

Jerry Hudgens Sr won the city marshal’s race 905 to 231 over Terry Privett. Mike Dale was elected city treasurer 803 to 154 over William Price Shearer Jr.

The two winners in the Pemiscot County Special School District were Charles A. Davis with 975 votes and Russell Gilmore with 709. Phyllis McDowell was a close third with 684 votes. Dennis Hayes received 580 votes. Voters approved Proposition K.I.D.S. – 1,273 to 562.
