For the first time in school history, the South Pemiscot Bulldogs take the floor in a state basketball tournament semi-final game. The Bulldogs play Hartville at 2 p.m. today at Mizzou Arena in Columbia. Coach Jordan McGowan says his team has proved its metal in sectional and quarter-final wins against Cabool and Puxico.
The 27-2 Hartville Eagles were number one in Class 2 for a good part of the season; McGowan says they are big and athletic.
