It would be illegal to export water out of Missouri without a permit, if a bill sponsored by State Senator Jason Bean makes it through the Legislature.
Among other things, Bean believes this bill would prevent any unnecessary federal overreach.
According to the Missouri Senate website, a hearing on the bill was held recently by a committee chaired by Bean. No action has been taken yet.
