Captain Jason J. Cluver, commanding officer of Troop E, Poplar Bluff, is pleased to announce the following promotion effective January 14, 2024.
Assistant Chief Radio Operator Adam E. Whittom, Troop E, has been promoted to chief operator. He was hired on May 4, 2008, as a probationary radio operator and was promoted to assistant chief operator on April 2, 2017. Prior to being employed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, he served as the Ripley County Sheriff. He received an associate of science degree from Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He and his wife Stacey (Samples) have three children.
