The Caruthersville Middle School has teamed up with the Caruthersville Humane Society and will be selling 2024 calendars featuring groups from the Middle School and animals from the shelter. Orders will be taken now through December at a cost of $35. Orders need to be paid when ordered. Proceeds from the calendars will be shared with the CMS Jr. Betas and the Humane Society for animal care.
Caruthersville Humane Society Director Karol Wilcox says that the shelter values its’ relationship with the local schools. “We receive a lot of volunteer time and help fundraising from the CMS Jr. Betas,” she said, “It’s always a pleasure to see these students help with the animals and share their love of animals.”
Wilcox stated that the idea originated with the CMS Jr. Betas and several participants took pictures with shelter animals. “This is a great way to support both a great student organization and the animals! We hope to continue to team up with local schools whenever we can,” Wilcox said.
