Veterans who need extra help for daily care have the option to get that care at home through the Veterans Directed Care Program. Don Danley at BAILS in Kennett says the program has been going on about five years, but only picked up in the past year at the VA hospital in Poplar Bluff.
Danley says they are expanding this program to west Tennessee by opening the Veterans Center for Independent Living, 2395 Lake Road in Dyersburg. They are holding a ribbon cutting there Wednesday at 11 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend the ribbon cutting.
