
New Madrid Police say a local resident received two packages in the mail that contained what is believed to be fentanyl. According to the NMPD, the mail was from out of state, looked suspicious to the residents, who immediately contacted them.
It’s possible that more of these packages may have been sent to other addresses in New Madrid. If you receive a suspicious package, don’t open it and call the police department immediately at 573-748-5901.
