There will be a public hearing tomorrow at Kennett City Hall to hear about the proposed city-wide trash service. The hearing begins at 5:15 p.m. The regular Council meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.
As we’ve reported, the Council requested the Board of Public Works to approve the service, allowing CLGW to enter into the residential trash business. The Board discussed but did not vote on the request at its meeting last week; members will take it up again at their next session October 10.
Citizens have expressed opposition to city-wide service in the past both in public meetings and at the voting booth.
