The long awaited exhibit from the Smithsonian Institution Museum is opening at the Dunklin County Library in Kennett tomorrow. Julie Orf says “Crossroads: A Change is Rural America” is an interactive exhibit that allows you to look at rural history. The exhibit is open on the second floor of the library from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday through October 25.
Of course that means it’s open during Fall Into Arts. The exhibit is not the only thing going on at the library Saturday. There’s also the Author’s Fair from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. Several local authors will be there with their books. Among them is Harold Walker, who will have both his books about his Vietnam experiences as well as his first book, the highly acclaimed “Murder on the Floodways.” Walker says he’s still amazed at the book’s reception.
The Fall Into Arts Festival is Saturday from 10 a.m to 5 p.m. on the Square.
