A standing room only crowd at the Kennett School Board meeting Tuesday night showed support for a soccer program at the high school. Billy Palmer has been the spokesman for the group and told Board members that with some budget adjustments, he believed the program would cost the district nothing.

The Kiwanis Club has also pledged up to $6,000 per year for the first five years of the program. As discussion continued, Board President Matt Shetley said as far as he was concerned, money was not the issue.

The Board voted 5-2 to approve the program.
