Gas Prices Shooting Up

If you’re going somewhere this weekend, you probably already know that it’ll cost more at the gas pump. Gas prices are going up pretty dramatically. According to AAA, the national average is up eight cents in the past week – some local prices have shot up a lot more. Nationwide the price for a gallon of gas today is $3.58.

Missouri’s average price has also gone up eight cents to $3.20. Dunklin County is higher at $3.23.

In Arkansas, the average price is cheaper at $3.15, but that’s still seven cents higher than a week ago. Greene County remains one of the cheapest counties to buy gas – the average there is $3.04.

In Tennessee, the price has jumped 14 cents in the last seven days to average $3.28. The cheapest gas in West Tennessee is in Dyer County at $3.10.
