A Poplar Bluff man was seriously hurt Friday night when he was struck by a vehicle while laying in the roadway. According to the MSHP, 55 year old Gary McCabe was taken by Air Evac to a Memphis hospital, following the 8:30 p.m. accident that happened on Highway 142 south of Poplar Bluff.
