A five-week community trash clean up campaign begins tomorrow. The idea for the “Talkin’ Trash” campaign started, according to Carolyn Ellis – a Kennett native – when she moved back to town last fall.

The work starts tomorrow morning.

Week two focuses on Ward 1 and week 3 on local businesses. Ellis hopes school kids get involved during week 4 and clean up around their homes. During the final week, all Kennett residents are asked to remove trash from their neighborhoods.

If you’d like to donate things like gloves, trash bags, and bottled water, you can take them to 1117 N. Vandeventer or call 844-568-3123, and they’ll pick them up.
